Projects

Below is a list of projects I have been apart of during my Master's degree program. If you have any questions about these please feel free to reach out!

Capstone Project

During the course of my Master's degree we were tasked with conducting a capstone project with a team of our peers. The pretense of the capstone project is to create a product that fulfills and unmet need in the biotechnology industry. Our team decided to create a product for biological producers who use shake-flask fermentation to optimize process parameters that allow comparability to scaled-up fed-batch and sparged-in processes by overcoming oxygen and nutrient limitations.

Industry Projects

The following are a few projects a team and I worked on together with businesses in the biotechnology field

Thermo Fisher Scientific

This project was done over the course of Fall Semester 2023 in the MMB program. We got the opportunity to work with two mentors within a specific branch of Thermo Fisher known as PCS Pre-Production Supply Chain. Our group was tasked with completing a comprehensive competitive landscape/analysis that provides a full overview of the capabilities of other bioproduction distributors in NA and EMEA.

W. L. Gore

The project was done over the course of my first semester in the MMB program. We got the opportunity to work with W.L Gore, a fantastic company that produces products used in many fields. Our goal was to find out if there was a market for a product Gore was looking to lauch that involved the clean of or Harmful Algae Blooms.

Sensal Health

This practicum project was conducted over 5 weeks during the Spring 2023 semester. My team and I got the opportunity to work with Sensal Health, a digital health company in Chapel Hill, NC. Our project surrounded medication adherence in patients, looking at current methods used and market opportunities. We utilized multiple markets to identify drivers, constraints, and growth within these market spaces. We also conducted VOC outreach to understand customer needs.
